I'm glad I bought this, since I don't mind the time changing annoyance, or the difficulty in snoozing (I need to get up when I set that alarm, so snoozing is bad!). It does speed up though, as you scroll through. It's a little silly, to have just + and - buttons to set time, rather than a dedicated Hour and Minute button, since you have to hold on to either button to scroll through 24h time. You can only set one alarm time, and adjust that one according to what you want for tomorrow.Īlarm/Clock setting. I guess this depends on whether you think snoozing should be easy or difficult (to try and get you out of bed). I've only ever had it work once, but every other time my sleepy self has attempted to snooze this alarm clock, it hasn't worked. According to the manual, it's something like to slapping the disc on the top. They're not always that sensitive, and when you're half-asleep, you can really easily push another button. I prefer medium (since I can barely see dim in the daylight), but I can see why people might find it annoying to see red light in the dark. It has 3 settings for brightness (I think) - bright, medium and dim. I have, however, previously owned alarm clocks with the annoying beep-beep-beep and a radio is so much nicer.Īble to turn down the clock face brightness. I haven't used the inbuilt sounds, so I don't know how they sound. Sunrise simulation really gets me out of bed. I've now owned this clock for just over 3 months (over the cold, dark wintery months!), and I absolutely love it! It gets me up in the morning, and it's easy enough for me to change the alarm times (I wake up between 5am-9am during the week, depending on my schedule). Nice idea, but the bright time display was the deal breaker for me. Yes Its Philips who think they’re the Apple of home care products, but for the poor design elements of this - and there are a few - it doesn’t justify the premium price. The snooze is very temperamental and you have to fiddle around with the clock so much you’re wide awake by the time you’ve got it snoozing. It should have DABS at the very least for the price. So bright it lights up the room at night, which defeats the purpose of a wake up light. Now the bad: You can not dim the time display. It’s also fairly easy to operate - though the touch buttons can be a bit finicky. The wake up sounds are also good, and they gradually get louder (unlike some of the competitors’ products that gently awaken you with the light then shout at you like something from Animal Farm).
